Geomagnetism and senses. Brain modelling III. A.

A. The environmental matrix of experience inducing fields.

From the perspective of modern neuroscience all behaviors and all experiences are created by a dynamic matrix of chemical and electromagnetic events within the human brain. How could then the impact of infrasound and nuclear decay, and the hallucinatory sensory experiences that follow, be explained? How can extrasensory experiences (ESP) be explained? Can hallucinations be induced in susceptible people by suitable ambient magnetic fields, as laboratory research say? What will make the difference between a normal human and a sensitive human?

From the earlier discussion we saw that animals have this capacity indeed in a higher degree than humans. But they cannot speak of what they experience, it is only behaviour that talks. So, I must assume it is not belief that dictate. What is it then?

We shall look at the chemical side of the phenomen too. Are there always molecules that dictate? Does the path always go through the chemical train or can there be directly induced effects without molecules?

Experience inducing fields (EIFs) and event-related fields (ERFs).
Often geomagnetism is linked with the occurrence of paranormal and anomalous phenomena, mostly from weak, complex and time-varying magnetic fields. The general term Experience-Inducing Fields, or EIFs relates to all, or any, fields that could have experience-inducing properties.

This distinction is helpful for a number of reasons.
1) not all magnetic anomalies will have implications for experience, some will influence equipment (which could be interpreted as paranormal) but will not alter the operation of the brain in any way. Those fields could be characterised as Event-Related Fields (ERFs) as they pertain to a tangible physical event.
2) it focuses the researcher theoretically on the potential relevance such fields might have. EIFs are varying magnetic fields with low frequency (approx 0.1 to 30 Hz, and certainly under 50Hz) and a moderate intensity (from 100 to 5000 nT) or amplitude (or, more correctly, flux density).

EIFs are most likely to overlay whatever ambient static magnetic field is present in the area, usually be the geomagnetic field itself. Confusion often arises here because the geomagnetic field is usually described as being ‘static’ (ie. does not change over time), whereas, in fact, it does change over time, but very slowly (over hours). Other local permanent distortions to the local magnetic field are important too, as the presence of magnetite in the geological strata below the site, etc. At present, such permanent static fields are NOT considered important to inducing hallucinations.

Therefore, EIFs, if present, would most likely appear as fluctuations on top of the local static field. Another important factor enhances greatly the chance of hallucinations: field complexity.

Repetitive pulse or chaotic fields.
Such overall variance could involve any, or all, of the major field variables: amplitude, frequency and direction. Laboratory studies have used amplitude-modulated, frequency-modulated and complex pulse-patterned sequences with great success. The time period over which fields need to vary is probably (from experiments) in the millisecond to multiple minute region. Simple continuous waveforms, like sine waves, are not at all as effective. The reason for this is that such simple fields are considered not to ‘contain’ the complex information profile that a brain would accept as sensory information.

The geomagnetic field. Maurice Townsend 2006
The geomagnetic field is around 50,000 nT overall. It is caused by a dynamo effect in the core of our planet, and produces a highly stable field, like that of a bar magnet, but the field is constantly changing, primarily due to the effects of the solar wind. +Diurnal variations, depending on sun-side / moon-side.

Geomagnetic variations do cause auroras etc. and can even bring down electrical regional power supplies (as in North America 2003) by induction, overall field changes are generally far from dramatic. A large geomagnetic storm produces a reduction of around 0.5% in the overall field. This change is spread over many hours. Most storms are far less intense than that. Thus, local field variations are not hugely dramatic at all. Geomagnetic storms can bring larger amplitude changes in the geomagnetic field. A storm is defined as a period (usually of several days) when there is a large reduction in the horizontal component (parallel to the ground) of the geomagnetic field. On average, one big geomagnetic storm per year might bring a field reduction of around 250 nT, but most will be much less (maybe 10 per year bringing about 50 nT reduction).

Fluctuating fields.
There are certain geomagnetic variables that change at frequencies required for EIFs. These variables, though they have relevant frequencies, are far too weak to produce EIFs. There are some geomagnetic variations that are in the right frequency range to induce hallucinations:

a) Pc1 pulsations (caused by variations in the Earth's magnetosphere) and they have a frequency range of 0.2 to 5 Hz. However, they are too weak (typically 0.1nT) to produce hallucinations. Even the Pc1 pulsation component of the geomagnetic field, which has the correct frequency, varies only by a maximum amplitude of a few tenths of one nT. In summary, there are no natural variations of the geomagnetic field that provide both the amplitude and frequency together to be classed as EIFs, even during geomagnetic storms. Indeed, most of us live in an environment where such natural magnetic variations are entirely swamped by more powerful local artificial sources. So the geomagnetic field can be dismissed as a likely source of EIFs. There are still effects linked to the moon phases that can belong here.

b) 'Schumann Resonances' which are caused by lightning, solar wind etc. resonating around the world. Though they also have suitable frequencies (7.8, 14, 20, 26Hz) they are too weak at 0.05 nT. Hospitals see these highened frequencies as a higher mortal rate, a higher sickness level. Sensitive people can feel the effects, but it is more interesting as a natural regulator of life, maybe. It would be natural to try to separate the electrical field from the magnetic impacts.

c) Intrasound has also been implicated in giving people ghostly hallucinatory experiences. Infrasound is sound at too low a frequency for people to hear (generally below 20 (16) Hz). Interestingly, infrasound shares a frequency range with EIFs. In addition, some potential sources of EIFs could also produce infrasound. In particular, moving HMPs could, potentially, produce infrasound at the same time and at the same frequency as EIFs. So an electric motor, for instance, might produce infrasound and/or EIFs. It is therefore important to check for EIFs if you find strong infrasound sources in a haunted location. The laboratory evidence for infrasound producing ghostly hallucinations is not as clear-cut as that for EIFs. Therefore, to establish a case for infrasound alone producing ghostly experiences, EIFs must first be eliminated. The problem is the long waves, over 17 m. This makes a focusing very difficult. They are also extremengly powerful and cannot be shealded.

d) The Tectonic Strain Theory (TST). Friedemann Freund has suggested that electric charges could be induced to flow by applying unusual pressure (through tectonic stress) to igneous rocks (normally insulators), turning them temporarily into semi-conductors. He has done experiments, crushing rocks, to demonstrate this effect. When the rocks are turned temporarily into semiconductors, holes (positively charged discontinuities) can flow rapidly through the rocks and might even reach the surface. The charges are conducted underground both by rocks, in their semi-conductor state, and by water.
Such moving charges would generate magnetic fields, that can be low-frequency fields, though there is no prediction, as yet, concerning exact intensity or frequency. This idea is also used by the Persinger group.

The whole idea is still very new, but it could possibly result in natural EIFs near tectonically strained areas around geological faults. The strengths of the theory are that the electric charges are not cancelled out and that they move around (unlike the piezoelectric theory), so producing magnetic fields. This can also very easily be linked to the radon hypothesis and plasmoids.

e) Gravity. According to NASA, about 2/3 of the astronauts experience motor sickness shortly after entry to the orbit because of the loss of gravitational field. Within the Earth's gravitational field, vestibular system in the inner ear senses the direction of the force and uses the information, along with the visual and other inputs, to interpret the head and body position. The reason is embedded in our dependence on gravity for perceptual information.
However in a zero-gravitational field, vestibular system cannot feel the gravity and sends the brain different signals from visual and other sensory inputs. This set of different sensory inputs does not match with any of the previously stored neural patterns, and the brain interprets this mistracking as the effects of neurotoxins. Consequently, the brain triggers vomiting as a defense mechanism to expel the poisons from the stomach, into which the toxins have possibly entered with food.

f) Time and exposure sum or potence. Only around 20 - 30% of the population show a substantially increased susceptibility, due to increased neuronal instability in specific brain regions. Secondly, susceptible people need to be subjected continuously to the EIFs for a significant time, say 20 to 30 minutes, before hallucinations are reported. This applies if the person is static.

g) Individual differences in sensitivity. This is known for the motor sickness as instance. This last factor say there are individual differences in neuronal stability. What could make that difference?

It is the network stability, and one factor that shelter the neurones is myeline. There can also be differences in the chemical constitution of branes, as serotonin-level seen in migraine, stress etc. From earlier we saw that iron is interesting. Let's explore this more.

I add a ref. from the NIEHS-report 2001, that is quite typical.

When male volunteers were exposed to simulated industrial infrasound of 5 and 10 Hz and levels of 100 and 135 dB for 15 minutes, feeling of fatigue, apathy, and depression, pressure in the ears, loss of concentration, drowsiness, and vibration of internal organs were reported. In addition, effects were found in the central nervous system, the cardiovascular system, and the respiratory system. Synchronization phenomena were enhanced in the left hemisphere. Visual motor responses to stimuli were prolonged, and the strength of effector response was reduced. Heart rate was increased during the initial minutes of exposure. Depression of the encephalic hemodynamics with decreased venous flow from the skull cavity and was observed. Heart muscle contraction strength was reduced. Respiration rate was significantly reduced after the first minute of exposure.

Townsend also showed that low and high GMF activity can act very differently on different hallucinatory characters. As instance dream bizarrness and ESP accurancy grow in low activity more, and psychokinesis was enhanced by high activity. The different capacities must be held apart.

Artificial man-made EM-fields needs also attention. The so called EM-allergy is a fact (histamine production). These fields are also linked to Alzheimers, Schizophrenia etc. Also to self-healing capacities.

Intrasound and geomagnetism. Brain Modelling II.

Earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, sea waves etc. also produce infrasounds. No shield can block infrasounds, it has no dissipation, and is sustained for long time in the atmosphere. Nearly everything will recieve an impact. Resistors are very few. After Krakatoa the 'ringing' of both Earth and atmosphere continued for hours. Brilliant sunsets followed for many years thereafter.

See my earlier posting 'Quantum antenna. Brain Modelling I'. I try to further explore this geomagnetic signal. Is iron the one I look for? And is a very low frequental signal, about 1 Hz one very important biological signal?

Intrasound physics.
What have all these phenomen in common? Each one generates silent infrasound - long sound waves at a frequency below 20 Hz. People can't hear anything below that frequency, probably for good reason. The 'song of Earth' or rather the intermittent groaning of Earth would be unbearable. Remember, in mythology Gaia gave birth to monsters.

Intrasound’s extraordinary propagation capability has been known for almost a century. In 1908 it was found that the low-frequency signal generated by the Tunguska Meteor event travelled more than once around the Earth and was detected by barographs around the world. It is generally assumed that the low-frequency acoustic waves—infrasound, is minimally attenuated in the atmosphere and propagates through reflections in temperature gradients in the upper atmosphere.

That propagation mechanism is believed to be analogous to the propagation of radio waves in the atmosphere.

Long distance propagation is possible when waves can reach one of the temperature gradients where the reflection takes place. There are two major reflection heights: the temperature gradient in the upper stratosphere (the lower sound channel at 45-50 km) and the temperature gradient in the lower thermosphere (the upper sound channel at 90-100 km). When the source is located on the ground, long distance propagation takes place (according to the classical propagation model) only when the signal with given frequency may be detected after reflection in the upper atmosphere at the stratospheric or the thermospheric temperature gradients, that is, it is reflected back to the Earth.

Fig.1. Signal-to-noise ratio for different source heights versus frequency (after Procunier & Sharp,1970). Liszka et al.

It may be seen from Fig.1. that only signals between 1 and 2 Hz will be detected with the optimal signal-tonoise ratio at the ground after a reflection in the lower thermosphere. The signal-to-noise ratio is limited at the low frequency side by the atmospheric noise increasing rapidly with the decreasing frequency.

Fig.2. Zonal wind profiles for three different latitudes: 40, 45 and 50N and for three months: February, March and April. Profiles based on COSPAR International Reference Atmosphere 1986. Liszka et al.

The distribution of wind vector in the atmosphere is quite complex. The wind system varies both with the altitude and it also shows a large temporal variability. The frequency of 2 Hz was selected for studies of the long distance propagation of infrasound. However, a large part of the scientific community still uses frequencies below 2 Hz for detection of distant explosive events. The purpose of the present report is to demonstrate that also frequencies between 2 and 6 Hz may be of interest for long-distance detection. An International Monitoring System (IMS)today use 0,01 - 5 Hz.

Fig 3. Acoustic ray-paths projected onto vertical east-west plane, for the summer- and winter-mean wind model. Both East- West and North-South propagation is shown. The source is located in the origo (after Georges and Beasley, 1977). Liszka et al.

The 'Earth net' is 1 - 2 Hz, or below 1 Hz?
The ability of the Model 1 simulation to predict the D was found highest for 1 Hz and decreasing with increasing frequency. The lowest ability to predict the D was observed at 5 Hz. There are indications that, at least at low latitudes, the tropospheric winds may be, to some extent, anti-correlated to the stratospheric winds. The primary goal of infrasonic detection is to determine the true angle-of-arrival to localize the source.

Plasmoids and solids.
When dealing with high intensity infrasound waves, as those generated by explosions, it may be expected that non-linear effects will influence the observed wave-field. High intensity infrasonic waves may generate solitary vortices in the atmosphere.

Fig.4. Propagation of sound waves during the descent of a Castor 4E rocket. The lowest ray originates at the lowest supersonic altitude of 17 km, the atmospheric model with Gaussian-distributed irregularities in wind and temperature is used. A large fraction of the rays that originated at heights above 18km now reach the ground at distances up to 250 km. Liszka et al.

Michael Hedlin has found infrasounds from sprites, which are short flashes of light in the atmosphere above thunderclouds.

Aurora Borealis generate infrasounds, by pushing the surrounding air outward. It 'swish, crackle, sizzle, thunder... sings'. Certain auroral sounds stimulate physiological responses that will never register in biologically unmodified electronic systems. The signal arise in the body? A chemist that got an auroral grounded through his lab reported incredible luminescence produced in several platinocyanides, electro-phosphorescent chemicals. A radio tower got the same visitor, and the engineer reported crackling everywhere, he was unable to transmit any signal power, felt completely electrified, smelled ozone and a colored column suffused the tower,a multicolored appearance. Eskimo legends of auroras are fear-filled. Their tales also report 'taking of souls' by ground walking auroras.

These vortices were found to occur usually in connection with intense weather fronts. There are some indications that these vortices occur in the troposphere, at few kilometres height. The arrival of intense infrasonic waves from the explosion site was associated with the simultaneous occurrence of atmospheric vortices overhead of the array. The vortices act as secondary sources of infrasound in the surrounding of the explosion site.

I was once climbing a mountain and reached the jet stream winds. They really felt different than usual winds. You could actually feel how the wind beats you. The beating frequence is 30 - 40 Hz. The winds was merely linear. The place I visited was a sacred place by the Vikings. The ancients all over the world knew these things, that we now have forgotten.

Fig.5.The winds above 18 km. The difference D (upper graphs) and the width of the distribution W (lower graphs) for summer 2007 as a function of signal frequency. The vertical axis of each graph shows the day number. Liszka et al.

The wind data (magnitude and direction) was converted into the zonal- and meridional components, which could be used in a numerical model, and show a remarkable fine structure in the wind system, especially above the tropopause.

Funny that the name meridians in Traditional Chinese Medicine actually is derived from the Earth meridians. It was a misconception from the european scientists, that may hold some truth.

The x-axis is at the same time the time axis (in minutes UTC) and the centre of each ellipse is plotted at the respective time of observation. The explosion of August 21, 2006 recorded in Kiruna. Monitoring volcanoes.
In the monitoring is used even as low frequencies as 0,15 - 0,01 Hz. The signature of the volcanic eruption was clearly visible at 0800 UT both at low (0.01-0.15Hz) and at high (0.4-4Hz) frequencies. Stronger and stronger infrasound signals led up to the volcano's eruption in 1998 in Japan, said Milton Garce´s. In Guatemala was a strong intrasound generated too, mostly below 10 Hz. corresponding to 120 decibels. Michael Hedlin is able to look at the infrasound recordings and say that gas is bubbling up.

Fig.7. Sound field for a ground source propagating at 0,1 Hz (left) and 1 Hz (right) showing the difference. Liszka et al.

In earthquakes the ground becomes the surface of a drum, ringing out at infrasonic pitch before the event. The ground undulates. Deep shocks produce strong infrasonic pulses.

Plasmaphase and magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling?
The two independent observations (mid-latitude trough and plasmapause positions) and an empirical model have been compared on a global scale and found to be in excellent agreement. The mid-latitude trough and plasmapause are on the same field line. Observations during the equinox and solstices and during quiet and disturbed periods are analyzed. In addition, positions of the mid-latitude trough are calculated using a simple empirical model.

A sixth sense?
These 'sounds of silence' are claimed to be sensed by animals but not humans, not with hearing sense, but maybe with some other sense. We use to call it the sixth sense. This has come forth for earthquakes, tsunamis, bombs, even the turbulence from airplanes. Large amounts of air is set in motion.

Certain animals, fish, can hear infrasonic sound. Animals react by attempting to escape the area. They cannot locate the source and center and move circular in panic. Elephants are producing infrasounds too when they trumpet, and detect it too, in that way they can reach other elephants as far as 10 km away. They can perhaps even pick up the waves through their feets. Whales, rhinos, big birds like cassowaries, dinosaurs etc. may pick up the sound, but not always through hearing. Cassowaries use the casque comb on their head. It is possible that people too can detect infrasound in special ways. When elephants trumpet it's such a powerful, low-frquency sound, that you feel resonating in your chest.

Whales use infrasound as weapon. The powerful sound stun their pray. Called 'gunshots' whales focus these blasts at large squids and other fish to paralyze them. The sound alone may even torn their pray apart. Whales can also use the acoustic projections as a shield.

Infrasonic shock flattens the body, like one was struck with a solid, invisible wall. There are physiological effects too, like extreme emotional distress, fear, anxiety, mental incapacitation, nausea and a sense of being helpless. An 'alarm system'. Physiological reactions remain long after the infrasound has gone. Every environmental sensation is felt ultrasensitively. Extreme irritability has followed. Sustained negative influence on consciousness is reported. Less than 5 min exposure to 10 Hz infrasound give dizzieness that last for hours, 12 Hz infrasound severe and longlasting nausea after a brief, lowintensity exposure.

Ocean waves produce 16 Hz as an anomalous acoustic phenomena, 'barisal guns, fog guns, lake guns'. A 'booming' is not isolated. Some shocks are irregular, but other water-related are periodic, comes at certain times of the day, month, year. Other anomalous natural tones like bells, organ or tuba tones are reported. These sounds are generated in certain environments in a complex woven mechanic net. People can be hospitalized by 'boom' illness. This has always been a very bad sign.

Certain bays are known for a high incidence of such 'illness', a resonant baywater 'heavings' that occur daily. The sickening effects are seemingly stored up in physiology.

Waterfalls generate infrasound and give nausea, as wind, storm, thunder, lake or glacial ice, tidal waves, huge ocean throughs, desert hummings etc. Aerial 'earthquake' sounds has also been reported. High intensy solar flame events are known to induce electricity into the wires, that must be insulated and grounded. Also into the human minds. Standing arcs of brilliant blue current is reported. Solar wind give intermittent effects on atmospheric pressure, which has disturbing effects on weather and human behavior and health. They have obvious sociological implications. Solar flare impacts struck the Earth like a bell. Inconsistent pressure density induce harmonic atmospheric disturbances that modify and chaoticize emerging weather patterns.

Storms can radiate a cyclonic serie of expanding infrasound. Fear proceeds hurricanes. Seasonal wind, the Mistral, and Fohn weather patterns produce illness in some people. There are individuals suffering from 'seasonal nervous exhaustion' and other ' neurophysical maladies'. Whenever a Mistral blows there will be increased emotional tension, depression, loss of objective judgement, disorientation and diarrhea and irritability. Travel sickness can be associated with infrasonic vibrating chassies. Stomach upsets are also reported from 'underground rumbles' in small areas. The infrasound focus on certain ground points. These pulses can blow up windows, stong rock walls into pieces, often when winds seemingly ceased for an instance. During that short interval infrasound wave impulse may be strong.

Unconscious detecting.
Vision has showed pictures can be detected although not consciously, when there are as instance advertising pictures laid in between ordinary pictures in a film. Humans react on the advertising, although they is not aware of it. In an experiment in England infrasound was played during a music performance. Although listeners couldn't hear it,they seemed to have stronger emotions during the performance than people who heared music without infrasound.

Acoustic ultrasound emission has also been seen in plants from dehydration. Some events are generated by other than cavitating vessels or fibres. Signal absorption within the tissue is one possibility.

Of critical importance is the comprehension of human tolerances to infrasound. Military pilots can have serious cosequences of minor errors in judgement, or even hallucinations. Pilot reflexes are severly diminished. Decrements in vision, speech, intelligence, orientation, equilibrium and ability to make reasonable desicions.

Quantum antenna. Brain modelling I

When we think of our brain it don't functions only by molecular inputs, as seen for emotions as instance. Also an electromagnetic (EM) input is important and can create emotions and consciousness. This input is seen in the DC-electrical/magnetical potentialin the brain. In fact the whole consciousness disappears if this potential is circumvented, as Becker has showed. This can in fact be used as anasthesia. Therefore we also speak of quantum consciousness, as seen in Hamerhoffs research. Also Persinger and Murphy has showed that manipulation of this potential can give altered consciousness, and imitate epilepsia, religious ectasy, bliss etc. It can give enlightment as seen for gurus, prophets, insights etc. They then actually 'tap in' in this wast Sea of energy and knowledge.

One special group of patients that suffer from this is schizophrenics. Their hallucinations are as if they came from the environment, and they seem very real. This is in fact the main symptom of schizophrenia. The brain function as an antenna.
In the bible Paulus experience on the road to Damascus would also fit nicely into this picture, as an epileptic attack.
Hallucinations can also come from heat in the desert, as we all know.

I would like to call this our quantum antenna, because the inputs comes from our unconscious window, that quite probably is of quantal origin, as dark energy or matter. The Dirac See or Vacuum soap is often used descriptions of this wast entity.

Earthquakes.
1. A sixth sense?
Animals have a sense of danger some days before catastrophes in the environment, as earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. This has been scientifically studied. But how this is done is still an open question.

During the Wenchuan magnitude 8.0 earthquake that happened in Wenchuan county (31.0° north latitude, 103.4° east longitude) of Sichuan province, China, on May 12, 2008, eight mice were monitored for locomotor activity and circadian rhythm in constant darkness with temperature 22-24 °C and humidity 55-65% for 38 days. The ongoing monitoring of locomotor activity of mice in our laboratory made it possible to design a posteriori study investigating whether the earthquake was associated with any change in animal behavior. Based on analyzing the recorded data with single cosinor, we found that the locomotor activity dramatically decreased in six of these eight mice on day 3 before the earthquake, and the circadian rhythm of their locomotor activity was no longer detected. The behavioral change lasted for 6 days before the locomotor activity returned to its original state. Analyses of concurrent geomagnetic data showed a higher total intensity during the span when the circadian rhythm in locomotor activity weakened. These results indicated that the behaviors, including circadian rhythm and activity, in these mice indeed changed prior to the earthquake, and the behavioral change might be associated with a change of geomagnetic intensity. Bioelectromagnetics 30:613-620, 2009.

Often foregoing eartquakes is seen a peculiar light. Oh,sure, an HAARP, was said for the Chilean earthquake now. href="">Here a video from China eartquake. What is this light?

2. Radon gas.
There is a debate regarding Radon gas a apercursor for earthquakes. The glowing light would be produced by ionization or plasma-chemical reactions.

Here is the theory:
When an atom of radium decays, it emits an alpha particle. Alpha particles are made of two protons and two neutrons, and are extremely stable (=noble) particles. Essentially, what you have is the nucleus of a helium atom.

After the alpha decay of radium, you have radon. Unlike its parent element, radon is fairly short-lived. It has a half life of just over 3.5 days. Like its parent, radon decays through alpha decay. The resulting products also decay by emitting alpha particles: radon becomes polonium, which becomes an isotope of lead sometimes known as radium B, which becomes an isotope of bismuth known as radium C. These decay sequences take about an hour, ending with more decay sequences that take mere seconds.

Now we come to the link with spirit manifestation: the release of alpha particles during radioactive decays produce heat. This is known as decay heat, and also occurs in substances that go through beta and gamma decay cycles. However, radon may play a role in generation of EM fields as well, particularly in large concentrations.

In the case of pre-seismic emissions of radon however, the outflows of the gas can be significantly higher. They may come as one or more "puffs" of gas as sudden increased pressure in surrounding rocks allow more gas to escape. Increased electrical currents in the Earth associated with pre-seismic activity could also excite trapped pockets of other gasses enough to cause them to forcibly exit the rock, allowing the more inert radon to escape with them.

Radon will increase localized ionization rates, resulting in a ground-level cloud of ions. (Pulinets, 2004). This forms a non-thermal plasma. Some ions will be positively charged because they have shed electrons, others will be negatively charged through accreting stray electrons.

Couloumb interaction, is not very strong in this case, and these clusters can be broken apart fairly easily. If we are talking about an interior location, sudden air current shifts from ventilation systems switching on and off could do the trick. There are other phenomena directly related to earthquakes which can also break the Couloumb bonds. Ahead of earthquakes, there can be intense rushes of gas such as carbon dioxide from the Earth's crust.

"...These intensive air movements destroy neutral [ion] clusters because of weakness in the Couloumb interaction. As a result within a short time the near-ground layer of atmosphere becomes rich in ions... This ionic layer is strongest where the pilots are, and they are especially vulnerable to hallucinations?

The charge separation process... leads to generation of an anomalously strong vertical electric field...." (Pulinets, 2004)

3. Dust and gases (heat or cold).
Dust increase the effect? Russian scientist say plasma + dust is more efficient. Also carbon gases invokes. I will talk more about this later. Linked to plasmoids and solenoids. Also the Josephson current and sound solids.

Tumours and cancer.
An increased cancer incidence has been reported in individuals living and/or working in an environment in which they are exposed to higher than normal artificial electromagnetic fields. One of the most uniform changes associated with the exposure of animals to either pulsed static geomagnetic fields or to sinusoidal extremely low frequency magnetic fields has been a reduction in high night-time levels of melatonin (pineal gland, guts). The high nocturnal production of melatonin leads to elevated blood melatonin levels at night as well. The exposure of humans or animals to light (visible electromagnetic radiation) at night rapidly depresses pineal melatonin production and blood melatonin levels. Likewise, the exposure of animals to various pulsed static and extremely low frequency magnetic fields also reduces melatonin levels. Melatonin is a potent oncostatic agent and it prevents both the initiation and promotion of cancer. Reduction of melatonin, at night, by any means, increases cells' vulnerability to alteration by carcinogenic agents. Thus, if in fact artificial electromagnetic field exposure increases the incidence of cancer in humans, a plausible mechanism could involve a reduction in melatonin (Reiter 1994).

Melatonin is considered to be a marker of circadian rhythms. 50-Hz linearly polarized magnetic fields (10 mu T) on the pineal function did not affect melatonin secretion in humans. Neither in this study with 10 microT. This work from 2002 shows that subjects exposed over a long period (up to 20 years) and on a daily basis to magnetic fields of either 1, 10 or 100 microT, experienced no changes in their plasma melatonin level, their urinary 6-sulfatoxymelatonin level, or the circadian rhythm of melatonin. It thus clearly rebuts the "melatonin hypothesis" that a decrease in plasma melatonin concentration--or a disruption in its secretion--explains the occurrence of, clinical disorders or cancers possibly related to magnetic fields.

Interactions between neuropharmacological compounds and the classes of weak magnetic fields that might be encountered in our daily environments. Whereas drugs mediate their effects through specific spatial (molecular) structures, magnetic fields mediate their effects through specific temporal patterns. Very weak (microT range) physiologically-patterned magnetic fields synergistically interact with drugs to strongly potentiate effects that have classically involved opiate, cholinergic, dopaminergic, serotonergic, and nitric oxide pathways. The combinations of the appropriately patterned magnetic fields and specific drugs can evoke changes that are several times larger than those evoked by the drugs alone. These novel synergisms provide a challenge for a future within an electromagnetic, technological world. They may also reveal fundamental, common physical mechanisms by which magnetic fields and chemical reactions affect the organism from the level of fundamental particles to the entire living system. This is new research made by Persingers lab.

Very weak 50-500 nanoTesla magnetic fields suggest that a common factor in cellular adhesion or plasticity might be permanently altered by prenatal exposure to a narrow intensity of a series of physiologically-patterned magnetic fields. Even the histomorphology in hippocampus may be altered. The fields exhibited peak elevations of aminotransaminase, glucose, and uric acid. Numbers of cytometric anomalies were also significantly elevated within regions of the hippocampus known for neuronal neogenesis in adults. Also by Persingers group.

So, the answer was not only melatonin per se, but all transmitter etc. Melatonin is an antioxidant that counteracts alterations in oxidative stress metabolism and cell viability induced by intracellular Calcium overload in human leucocytes. Changes with Age too. This is one report of many by Reiter.

Prenatal effects is also found. Weak (<1 microT) complex magnetic fields (CMFs) may exert their behavioral influences through the hippocampus by resonating by accident or design with intrinsic electrical patterns. Rats were exposed prenatally to one of four intensities of a CMF (either <5 nanoTesla [nT], 10-50 nT, 50-500 nT, or 500-1000 nT) designed to interact with the process of Long-Term Potentiation (LTP) in the hippocampus. Decreased cell density in one hippocampal area and increased in another. These findings support the hypothesis that continuous exposure during prenatal development to CMFs designed to simulate intrinsic LTP within the hippocampus can affect adult behaviors specific to this structure and produce quantitative alterations in neuronal density. Also by Persingers group.

The geomagnetic field.
When a loved one dies, the grieving survivors often report visions of the deceased. Half of persons over 70 years (elder people) felt the presence of the deceased (illusions)seen by Grimby, 2007. These visual and auditory hallucinations are part of the normal grief reaction and a very real physical occurrence to those who experience them. And now neuroscientist Michael Persinger has linked these visions to changes in the earth's magnetic field.

These 'breavement hallucinations' usually took place when magnetic activity was relatively high. Persinger suspects that the increase in gemagnetic activity electrically stimulates the temporal lobes of the brain. This, in turn, causes a drop in the level of the biochemical melatonin, found in the pineal gland. The drop in melatonin induces small seizures that transform memory fragments into visual images. To valdate his theory, Persinger has been applying magnetic field pulses across the temporal lobes of subjects while they wear opaque lenses and sit in a quiet room. 'They report their subjective experiences but don't know whether the pulse is on of off,' says Persinger. 'People report a lot of visual imagery,' he says, 'and they think that there is a presence, that some entity is in there with them when the pulse is on.'

Bereavement is an immensely stressful event that can take a huge toll on the body, potentially causing all sorts of physical problems, including physical exhaustion, uncontrollable crying, sleep disruption, palpitations, shortness of breath, headaches, recurrent infections, high blood pressure, loss of appetite, stomach upsets, hair loss, disruption of the menstrual cycle, irritability, worsening of any chronic condition such as eczema or asthma, and visual and auditory hallucinations.

Self-harming activity also belongs to this field quite strongly. More about that later.

The self and Ego.
A coupling to weak ego? Grief is seen as an accommodation to alife without that partner. Broken bonds (entanglements) give chaos and the self is not yet so strong, and hence it is easily distorted and dissociated. The self need to make new entanglements.
The same weak Ego is seen in schizophrenics. The border between the self and the environment is weak.

Suicide and depression has been linked to the pineal gland and the serotonin - cycle.

Can give an experience of aliens and UFOs?????

Linked to neurodegenerative diseases.
Linked to iron in the brain and neurodegenerative diseases, as MS, meningiomas, hippocampal changes. Iron is also linked to homocysteine, autoimmunity and tumours. See this.

Four main magnetic components can be distinguished: the diamagnetic matrix, nearly paramagnetic blood, antiferromagnetic ferrihydrite cores of ferritin and ferrimagnetic magnetite and/or maghemite.

Is it the iron that is the antenna?

Values, morals, emotions and I

In february I wrote about 'The singular I and the observer'. It should perhaps have been named the drop of reductionism, or about values.

What is a value?
It can be given away. It can be earned. It is like food or water. It is like some kind of energy, entropy. It is ethics and courage. It is evaluation tool or cognitive tool. Values can be entangled, braided, like cellular automata systems.

Money is a kind of value, and social value, status. They are both very valuable things and we can spend a lifetime chasing for them. But they are usually not enough. Why? Because it is the self that dictates what is good or not. The self with all its shortcomings, insults, interpretations, traumas etc. The self knows what you want. The self is complex.

The self do experiences of different kinds that give rise to consciousness and awareness. They are very different things. Awareness is our thoughts, all that our brain cortex knows, but it is a very small part of what we know as individuals. Most of that knowledge is not in the brain.

One experience that self do very often is that it is not worth so much. It is not good enough. It is perhaps an experience that lays inherent in our culture as Murphys law, but self doesn't know that. Self do only experience. How can our self handle such an experience, because it knows it is no good?

To give away value.
Another way to say the same thing is to give away some value that you have had. You become poorer, less valuable. What has happened? You have given away power, and that is maybe the most attractive thing you can give away. Power is energy too, entropy.

Power is always bound to individuals, to selves, or egos. It is the self that need power to 'make it' in the competition with other selves. Power can be given, or taken by force. The transfer can be accepted by the self or not. If it has happened and is not accepted, then the 'victim' is experiencing a trauma that will change the way his self experience the world ever after.

The self can also give away value, but keep some of it important for the self. The gift can be accepted, though it can be taken by force, and then the self is not so badly changed. The important value is called integrity. So there is difference in the values. Values are complex.

A value - hierarchy.
The most valuable value is the integrity, the value that belongs to the 'self - core', the singular I. I want to call it our inner diamond. What would that be?

Maslows hierarchy of need represented as a pyramid with the more basic needs at the bottom. ERG-theory is further extension of Maslows hierarchy.

If we think of what kind of experience that will change us most, it is experiences in our childhood. An experience of not to be seen, not accepted, not cared for. These are all experiences that belongs very strongly to our self-diamond, security, socialibility and value. We have a strong self also as babies. To be seen is self-esteem, to appreciate the own person and love the self diamond. Ego maybe too. If we are not seen we develope a feeling of 'lack of Ego/love', that can have very serious consequencies. We can look for that lost value for the rest of our lives and maybe never find it. This is the top value. Social acceptans and abilities may suffer too. Social intelligence has a very high ranking for groups. Emotional intelligence too. On the contrary pure intelligence is often repelling. Intelligent people are often more negative personalities, focused on details, more 'ordered' and less holistic. Love is a holistic feeling, and a feeling of lack may change the whole personality. This is the fourth chakra, a gate-chakra to holistic being. The more holistic the emotions are the more valuable? Power has also a very high value.

Stability and chaos.
Also sudden traumas may be very devastating. It invokes on the security or faith and trust. We need trust. This is the first chakra, also a gate to Ego. Stability can also be boring, and we look for entertainment, or disturbance. Stability needs chaos, both are just as important. Chaos, or allostas, is necessary for order and self-organization. Chaos tells 'who I am', where is the border. Chaos can make you healthy.

Communication.
There is one more gate - to spiriality. It is the throut, the speech. The 'communication and we', the social group. this is also a very high hierarchy.

Communication is also hormones and other not spoken signals. Our body cells communicate with oscillations, maybe as a song. I like that idea. Singing is naturally happy and painless, but pain is also a song. Not to be accepted in the community can give pain. Especially children do often somatise their emotions. In fact the majority of diseases are emotions that have gone wrong; psychosomatic diseases. Or maybe lack of knowledge of 'who am I'? The borders are not recognized, and the mistrust in the environment make the own body the target. Lack of consciousness is another explanation. This is seen so very often, and before healing can happen there must be some conscious thinking about the I. The I must know how it feels and why it feels.

Traumas from the early childhood is very often somatised and global, without proper when and where. One important step in the healing process is to localise the trauma, also in time. Otherwise it is universal and ethernal and the impact on the diamond is never broken.

What do we do when we have experienced lack?
We must shelter our inner diamond against harmful experiences.
1. Love. We very often run away. Love can hurt very badly, and if the Ego is insufficient and experiencing lack escape is the easiest way. It is quite peculiar that love is the most valuable emotion, and the most feared one.
2. Acceptans. Lack of acceptans can be earned. Usually this behaviour has started very early, and is unconscious. A need to do things, to be nice and a 'giving' person. They often manage very well, but the values are not as they should be. They often do not think they are so good person; never enough may the diamond say, although nobody can give more.
3. Power. To be strong and 'capable' feels good. Lack of power gives forceful signals to the environment of weakness, that attract other persons that has lack of power. They see a easy victim. It is very odd too, that in the hierarchy game it is the victim that must 'draw a line' and say no, stop. He must have a border for his Ego.

Motivations, Values and Emotions: Three Sides of the same Coin Motivations prime actions, values serve to choose between motivations, emotions provide a common currency for values, and emotions implement motivations. The three are so pragmatically intertwined.
Artificial emotions will prove most valuable as implementers of motivations in situations requiring learning and development. Every autonomous agent, be it a humanor some other animal or thing like a computer, must have innate primitive motivations. Otherwise, it wouldn’t know how to decide what to do next. Just as goals may have sub-goals intheir service, primitive motivations may have submotivations. Each motivation in any agent must be in the service of one or more primitive motivations. Taxis, trophisms, arousals and drives, values (= general preference independant of other inputs and intentions). Values are often combined into an utility function that is used by the agent to evaluate options. This evaluation is called reasoning, can be effected by deliberation, a kind of internal virtual reality.

Damasio views feelings as somatic markers. Feelings typically attach to response options/stimuli and, so, bias the agent’s choice of action. Similar role of feelings can be observed with other feelings as well -- how one holds a cup when one is angry vs. when one is happy. You feel more sad feelings when you are sad etc. The feeling manifests in one's body, and make up the body language.

Emotions are the cognitive content of the feelings. Emotions have a cause and a consequence. Feelings, including emotions, are nature’s means of implementing motivations for actions, and they adapt us to our surroundings.

These general preferences derived evolutionarily from regularities can be viewed as values. Thus feelings become implementations of values in biological agents, providing a common currency for quick and flexible action selection and they force to an ongoing learning and memory.

Value as entropy.
Entropy is energy, and it can also be mass. Entropy can be many different things and in this context it is emotions as values.
Entropy is a measure of how organized or disorganized a system is: "Gain of entropy eventually is nothing more nor less than loss of information". Entropy has a non-conserved state function and explain why some processes are spontaneous, like a force or a tendency. Entropy is essentially a measure of the number of ways in which a system may be arranged, the degrees of freedom, or possibilities. It is different for open systems as living things are.

From this we learn that maximal energy is gained from holistic emotions. But emotions are complex, and not only energy. The have also cognitive information about the global situation for our inner diamond. The most holistic emotion is love, that can be seen as 'stereo consciousness' and 'summary' emotion, negentropic fusions of a large number of mental images, as Pitkänen said.

Emotional escape.
The obvious - but often unspoken - premise of most emotional healing lies with finding a way to rid yourself of those so-called bad emotions. Any way you can.

We believe (indeed, we've been taught) that it's okay to feel the good emotions, but we should not feel those bad emotions. This teachings has been very much on constraining our doings, our behaviour. The motoral output is taboo.
Which unfortunately stands as one of the most self-destructive beliefs you can hold. First of all, it can't be done. It would be like trying to not see the red side of the rainbow. All real emotions - and all true feelings - link together like the colors of the rainbow. You can't possibly filter out the feelings you don't like... the ones society don't like. Every single feeling comes out of the SAME circuits. All emotions and all feelings come from the same source. It's insanity to try to set up a filtering system to block certain feelings. We can only crimp the source. And hope the good ones make it through while the bad ones stay trapped in the source, which is impossible. We feel less of ALL our emotions. But whatever you fight and push away, generally becomes a bigger part of your life. Feeling less always makes us feel worse. We become more powerless and the pain increases.

You can't outrun your 'bad' feelings. All you can do is to distract yourself in some way. For a while, anyway.

You need tools for that distraction:

1. Sensory distraction. We start to do things, so we change our perceptions and doesn't feel the bad emotions, for a while, anyway. The bad with this solution is that when the distraction is away the problem is back. When we sleep we can't distract ourselves. Dreams reflect our emotions.

2. Projections. We see the emotions we escape from in another person, object, situation etc. In every way we tries to avoid seeing it in ourselves.
One special kind of projection is to somatise the emotion. That is the same as making it unconscious, out of reach. But it is still there.

3. Entanglements. Emotions are entangled with good ones by rituals, objects, etc. Religion can be such a way. This strengthens the good ones. Marriage is too an entanglement of emotions.
Entanglement can also happen with bad emotions, of course. Then we are in a pain cycle.
These rituals can be seen as an allowed channel to get rid of those bad emotions. They are ritualized. This happens in sports for instance.

4. Moral codes is virtue, guides, courage, ethical values. A tool to make entanglements?
Moral codes (being innate) are re-ratified through taboo and ritual. That inner repressed and distorted self is allowed to burst out/channelled towards a 'parent God' – sinful child who can become good, free from 'sin'.
The inner child can re-channel the damage done by the branding done by the parent by loving an outer parent, invisible, but very apt for a love that was lost in childhood and kept unconscious (invisible self).

A mapping between three moral emotions (contempt, anger, disgust) and three moral codes (community, autonomy, divinity). This is the CAD triad hypothesis.

Emotional healing.
It begins with awareness of the problem. Feel those bad feelings and see their messages.
1. You've got to stop seeing emotions as either good or bad. So you'll stop trying to filter out the ones you think are bad. There are no bad emotions. Creating an emotional hierarchy in your mind often stands as the first step towards emotional problems such as depression, anxiety, panic, excess anger, hurt, and so many more. Because then you'll start to repress those unwanted feelings.

Matter waves

Evolution of the interference contrast with changing heating intensity

Anton Zeilinger (Austria), Alain Aspect (France) and John Clauser (USA) received the Wolf-Prize in physics 2010. The three physicists share this high decoration for elementary conceptual and experimental contributions in quantum physics, especially quantum entanglement that represents the foundations for numerous modern quantum information technologies, such as quantum communication and encryption, quantum teleportation and quantum calculation. The Wolf-Prize is considered as one of the most reputable science awards worldwide. The price will be awarded through the President of Israel in Jerusalem in May 2010.

Anton Zeilinger, Institut für Quantenoptik und Quanteninformation Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften.

And yet there are still a lot of scientists that say matter has no wave-charachter, no duality. Quantum behavior is generally not observed in macroscopic systems. One reason is that an extremely high experimental resolution would be required to observe quantum phenomena, larger than can be practically achieved. But it can be done.

Lubos Motl has very big difficulties with this aspect of matter. He has difficulties with the finiteness in quantum physics too, getting inumerous different 'worlds'. Quantum entanglement is a unique feature of the quantum world and its essence. It is not seen in matter, says he.

Anton Zeilinger, a/the top experimenter in this entanglement field, surely agrees with everything I say, even with inconvenient things such as the statement that his experiment wasn't "really" new relatively to previous experiments and it was only new in its optimization to exclude nonlocal realism.
What the entanglement shows is that spatially separated systems can be found in states that are correlated with each other. But that was true even in classical physics, and it can result and usually does result from local physics.

Lubos say: If you send your pair of shoes by 2 trains, it's clear that one of the destinations A,B will receive a left shoe and the other will get a right shoe, even though it can't be uncertain at the beginning which is which. But no signals were spreading from the train station A where they saw a left shoe to the other train station B. Instead, the correlation was caused by the common past of both events - by your putting the 2 distinct shoes in the trains. The logic concerning the reasons of the correlations is just like in classical physics - the correlation is caused by a shared past, not by any "fast" influences at the moment of the measurement that would be needed to "enforce" the correlation. Consequently, no information can spread by these non-existent superluminal signals, not even in principle.

So, how can this price then be given for matter waves? And how can quantum computers ever be made? If the future computer is supposed to reach the stage of wide commercial application, it should be based on solid states systems.

Zeilinger: Our group pioneered the realization of novel quantum states and quantum phenomena with entangled photons, such as polarization entanglement, orbital angular momentum entanglement, Greenberger-Horn-Zeilinger (GHZ) entanglement, Cluster state entanglement, and other types of multi-particle entanglement, that are designed to demonstrate the unique and counterintuitive phenomena of quantum physics. We are also working on implementing quantum entanglement for new quantum information applications. Our group’s accomplishments include a number of applications of entanglement-based quantum information protocols such as quantum state teleportation, quantum dense coding, and entangled -photon quantum cryptography. One important aspect for future quantum communication networks, the ability to distribute entanglement over long distances, is addressed by our experiments on the distribution of entangled photons via optical fibres and via free space, and in the future, even using quantum communication satellites in Space

Entangled quantum states are not separable, regardless of the spatial separation of their components. This is a manifestation of an aspect of quantum mechanics known as quantum nonlocality. An important consequence of this is that the measurement of the state of one particle in a two-particle entangled state defines the state of the second particle instantaneously, whereas neither particle possesses its own well-defined state before the measurement.
.

Seems that they are of very different meanings. Zeilinger: It is commonly believed that for the understanding of the behaviour of large, macroscopic, objects there is no need to invoke any genuine quantum entanglement - Einstein's ”spooky action at a distance”. This is because decoherence effects arising from many particles interaction with the environment would destroy all quantum correlations. Our research, however, shows that this belief is fundamentally mistaken and that entanglement is crucial to correctly describe some macroscopic properties of solids.

The wave nature of biomolecules
We demonstrate quantum interference for tetraphenylporphyrin, the first biomolecule exhibiting wave nature, and for the fluorofullerene C60F48, says Hackermüller et al 2003. The porphyrins, which have low symmetry and abundant occurence in organic systems, have the theoretically expected maximal interference contrast and its expected dependence on the de Broglie wavelength. Since Louis de Broglie's hypothesis that all massive particles should also show wave behavior many exciting experiments have studied interference of electrons, neutrons, atoms and molecules. Our goal is to further explore the limits of quantum mechanics with even larger objects which consist of many strongly bound atoms, investigated at high temperatures.

But this is interference from the quantumphysics, seen as waves (de Broglie). It is an effect of quantum physics on particles.

Interference fringes of porphyrin.

The most elementary system carries one bit of information, a yes or no.
Since the total information carried by the system is not enough to determine the results of all possible measurements, these results must contain an element of irreducible randomness. Furthermore, the finiteness of the total information implies the existence of complementary observables in which an increase in the knowledge of one of the observables is at the expense of the corresponding decrease of the knowledge in other(s). We also derived the Malus law – the well-known cosine law for quantum probabilities – from the assumption of the invariance of the total information under the choice of a complete set of mutually complementary propositions.

Finally, quantum entanglement is shown to arise from the possibility that the information in a composite system may reside more in the correlations between elementary systems than in the individual elementary systems themselves
.

Although entanglement on its own cannot be used for communication, it surprisingly can produce effects as if information had been transferred: entanglement can save on classical communication. Entangled states are useful only to the extent that they exhibit nonlocal correlations. More precisely, we demonstrated that for every Bell's inequality - including even those which are not known yet - there always exists a communication complexity problem, entanglement between qubits, qutrits and higher dimensional states.

Entanglement can help separated individuals in making decisions if their goal is to find each other even in the lack of any communication between them. The efficiency of every classical solution for our problem has to obey, and demonstrate its violation by the quantum efficiency. This proves that no classical strategy can be more efficient than the quantum one.

A spiritistic world-wiev. Trust and faith? This means that the law of cause and consequence not always is true, if two systems are more correlated than one. But we already knew that.

And macroscopically
We demonstrated that macroscopic thermodynamical properties, such as internal energy, heat capacity or magnetic susceptibility - can reveal the existence of entanglement within solids in the thermodynamical limit even at moderately high temperatures. We found the critical values of physical parameters (e.g. the high-temperature limit and the maximal strength of magnetic field) below which entanglement exists in solids.

We investigated entanglement between two or more macroscopic samples - such as blocks of harmonic oscillators in a linear harmonic chain or sets of spins in a long spin chain - which can be revealed by measuring only collective observables of the oscillators or spins, respectively. In the case of oscillators we found that such entanglement can be demonstrated even in the cases when neither of the oscillators from one block is entangled with the oscillator from the other block (i.e. it cannot be understood as a cumulative effect of entanglement between pairs of oscillators.)

An entangled quantum system is impossible to describe by the states of its (local) constituents alone. Manifested in a phenomenon known as quantum nonlocality.

Oh, what a world. It is really so that All is One, as Cleopatra once said?

Macroscopic Thermodynamical Witnesses of Quantum Entanglement
Macroscopic thermodynamical properties - such as functions of internal energy and magnetization - can detect quantum entanglement in solids at nonzero temperatures in the thermodynamical limit. In the thermodynamical limit (where the number N of spins tends to infinity) entanglement was predominately investigated for the systems in their ground states.

Decoherence—the processes that limit the appearance of quantum effects and turn them into classical phenomena. One important cause of decoherence is the interaction of a quantum system with its environment, which ‘entangles’ the two and distributes the quantum coherence over so many degrees of freedom as to render it unobservable. Decoherence theory has been complemented by experiments using matter waves coupled to external photons or molecules. Large molecules are particularly suitable for the investigation of the quantum–classical transition because they can store much energy in numerous internal degrees of freedom; the internal energy can be converted into thermal radiation and thus induce decoherence.

Magnetic fields give the coherence?
According to our analysis, no violation of local realism is possible unless the RFs correspond to magnetic fields at least of order 104 G. This is much larger than can generally be found in nature (but still not impossible to produce).

Typically, quantum coherence in a system is quickly lost due to its interaction with the environment, but the coherence is preserved in correlations between the system and the environment. What is this? A window-effect?

The vibrational energy of atoms and molecules is another concept, giving rise to resonance. Our world is built on discrete particles that are bound in finite systems of discontinuous energies seen in finite number of wavelengths, respectively, colors that an atom emits.
Quantum wave effects allow tunneling through an energy barrier which would classically be insurmountable.
Also the creation of a polarizationentangled pair of red photons when a single UV pump photon interacts with a nonlinear crystal, or a measurement of both photons shows perfectly anticorrelated polarizations although the result on each side individually appears to be absolutely random.

Despite considerable research efforts the relation between the quantum entanglement and non-locality is largely unexplored. Among the open questions is: Which quantum states of composite systems are entangled and which of those are non-local? Understanding this relation is not only of importance for fundamental research, but also in the context of quantum information processing. For certain tasks, such as quantum communication complexity problems, distillation of entanglement or device-independent quantum key distribution, entangled states are useful only to the extent that they exhibit nonlocal correlations.

It is known that all pure bipartite entangled states violate the Bell inequalities. For mixed states, however, the relation between entanglement and non-locality is much subtler. We found that for three or more particles even the relation between pure entanglement and locality becomes subtle. We constructed a family of multipartite pure entangled states, which satisfy all Bell’s inequalities with two measurement settings per observer. All these strongly suggest that entanglement and non-locality are different concepts.

The Borromean Rings, the trinity.
Efimov predicted that resonantly interacting particles can form weakly bound trimer states, Efimov resonances. Efimov predicted that three quantum particles subjected to a resonant pair-wise interaction can join into an infinite number of loosely bound states, even if each pair of particles cannot bind. The properties of these aggregates, such as the peculiar geometric scaling of their energy spectrum, are universal, that is, independent of the microscopic details of their components.

Efimov focused his attention on the situation of three identical bosons with resonant two-body interactions. The resonant two-body interaction condition also greatly simplifies the physics of the three-body problem. It becomes universal in the sense that details of the short-range interaction become irrelevant except for an additional quantity, the so-called three-body parameter. The problem is then fully characterized by just two parameters, no matter whether nucleons, atoms, or other resonantly interacting particles are considered—Efimov was studying a very general phenomenon.

Molecular Borromean rings are an example of a mechanically-interlocked molecular architecture in which three macrocycles are interlocked in such a way that breaking any macrocycle allows the others to disassociate. They are the smallest examples of Borromean rings, and is only possible because the building blocks self-assemble. The synthesis of molecular Borromean rings was reported in 2004 by the group of J. Fraser Stoddart.

The preparation of the tri-ring Borromeate involves a total of 18 precursor molecules and is only possible because the building blocks self-assemble through 12 aromatic pi-pi interactions and 30 zinc to nitrogen dative bonds. Because of these interactions, the Borromeate is thermodynamically the most stable reaction product out of potentially many others. As a consequence of all the reactions taking place being equilibria, the Borromeate is the predominant reaction product. From wikipedia.

The Borromean rings have been used in different contexts to indicate strength in unity, e.g. in religion or art. In particular, some have used the design to symbolize the Trinity. They are formed by braiding, knotting etc. too.

In biology this is realized as chaos giving order? The Prigogine triangular effect.

Even chaos is in QM. Chaotic behavior is the rule, not the exception, in the world we experience through our senses, the world governed by the laws of classical physics. Even tiny, easily overlooked events can completely change the behavior of a complex system, to the point where there is no apparent order to most natural systems we deal with in everyday life.

Until now, no one has produced experimental evidence that chaos occurs in the quantum world, the world of photons, atoms, molecules and their building blocks. "The problem is that people don't see [classical] chaos in quantum systems," said Poul Jessen. "And we believe quantum mechanics is the fundamental theory, the theory that describes everything, and that we should be able to understand how classical physics follows as a limiting case of quantum physics." Jessen's experiment revealed a new signature of chaos for the first time. It is related to the uniquely quantum mechanical property known as "entanglement." Theorists have speculated that the onset of chaos will greatly increase the degree to which different parts of a quantum system become entangled. this concept of entanglement has tendrils in all sorts of areas of quantum physics because entanglement is actually common as soon as the system gets complicated enough.

That was the opposite. Chaos and order, dissipation and negentropy.

And so something odd: In relation to this it is symptomatic that quantum formalism makes no difference between the description of two (space-like) separated particles and of two degrees of freedom of a single particle with a corresponding Hilbert space dimension. This suggests that spatial distance in the ordinary three-dimensional space is irrelevant in the abstract Hilbert space description of quantum mechanical systems. In our view this relativizes the violation of locality condition as a possible explanation of Bell’s theorem.

One can also have situations where someone knows more than everything. This is known as quantum ‘entanglement’, and when two people share entanglement, there can be negative information.

Making Quantum Behavior Observable Using Optical Levitation. That parapsychological problem of levitation? Teleportation too.

Researchers has taken the first steps toward showing how a pair of vibrating membranes can form a molecule-like state. By interacting with photons from a laser, the membranes become coupled together. In one mode, the membranes move together, while in the other mode, the membranes move opposite to each other. Since these vibrational states are analogous to the excitations of a single molecule, the experiment demonstrates how the two membranes act as a single system.

The results could enable physicists to investigate the transition from the quantum to classical world.
